Sam is a fantastic Japanese tutor! His teaching style is so easy to follow, and he never makes me feel embarrassed for making mistakes or mispronouncing things. He came to our lessons super prepared with exercises and flash cards that clearly had a lot of effort put into them. I highly recommend him!

I've really enjoyed learning Japanese with Sam. He's kind, patient, makes every lesson interesting and builds on from the last. Using Anki with vocabulary, not just for learning new words, but also for regular revision with Sam's own extremely awesome and well constructed cards really helps things stick. One thing I usually struggled with was grammar, but he explains the terms in an easy to understand way that finally makes sense, while using the grammar terms we will create sentences which is also a fantastic help with Japanese sentence structure. I’m very thankful for his support and would definitely recommend Sam to anyone learning Japanese!

Sam is a fantastic teacher. He is super friendly and genuinely wants you to do well, making lessons and classes professional but also personally tailored to the student. I like his approach to learning which ensures I am remembering things long term. He pushes you enough to improve in leaps and bounds but not too much you get overwhelmed.
